Any color you like: Scientists create 'any wavelength' lasers in tiny circuits for light

NIST scientists in Boulder have created integrated photonics chips that generate dozens of laser wavelengths using nonlinear materials. This breakthrough could miniaturize quantum computers, optical clocks and AI hardware.
