Congo says its mpox outbreak is over after 2 years and more than 2,200 suspected deaths

The Democratic Republic of the Congo declared the end of a devastating two-year mpox outbreak on Thursday. The epidemic is believed to have caused more than 2,200 deaths in the country before containment efforts brought it to an end.
